ABOUT LUBNANI

A unique and distinctive culture

Lebanon, homeland of the Phoenician civilization, is known for its Mediterranean climate and fertile soil. The Phoenicians, who inhabited the coastal areas of Lebanon, were renowned for their winemaking skills and are often credited with spreading viticulture and winemaking technique through the Mediterranean region. They were sea masters and skilled manufacturers who spread their trade, including olive oil, soap, and wine to Greece, Cyprus, Southern France, Italy, Spain and North Africa.

Olive Oil production in Lebanon also has ancient roots, dating back thousands of years.

Olive trees are native to Lebanon and their oil was a staple in the Phoenician diet. In fact, Lebanon is home for the oldest living olive trees, known as “the sisters”.

Both wine and olive oil are integral to Lebanese cuisine and culture. They are also significant export products that contribute to Lebanon’s agricultural economy.

Lubnani invites you to browse the unique “made in Lebanon” products that are increasingly recognized internationally for their quality and that reflect on the Lebanese hospitality, culture, heritage, and the love of land.
